Swope Trails Donation from BikeSource

We're happy to announce that BikeSource (already a financial supporter of Swope) has made a cash donation of $5000 for the continuing development of the trail system.  Additionally, BikeSource has agreed to make this an annual donation we can count on for the next 5 years!  This donation will help us move forward at a quicker pace and give us more of the dirt we love!

Specialized Demo April 6-7th

The Specialized Demo Truck will be at the Swope Park Trails this upcoming Saturday and Sunday.

There will be both road and mtn bikes to test from 10a-4p.

January 16th Ride is OFF

As you've probably already guessed, we're off for tonight.  Next week?

Wednesday Night Ride...OFF next 2 wks

Heads up...we're going to take the next 2 weeks off from the Wednesday night ride.  We'll start back up January 9th.

December 12 Night Ride is On

We're on for tonight.  Sounds like good weather...enjoy.

Here's how it works:

Gate entrance will open at 6:30 and close at 6:45. If you come after 6:45...tough luck.

You can ride as long as you'd like as long as you want as long as that means you're done by 8:50p. You can leave anytime, but the exit gate wil be locked at 9pm.

We've been able to work out this deal to allow us to do this ride, don't ruin it for everyone else. If we have problems we will simply no longer do this ride.

Sunday Afternoon Work

Quick update from this afternoon (Sam, Joe, Dick, Travis, Craig):
-We continued worked on the benchcut from the creek to the powerline road.
-Destaubed the loop all way to the Playground.
-The GWP drop is cleared and ready for dirt work.

Scott, Travis, and I will be working on the rock chute this week.

We plan to have a work day in 2 weeks, December 1st.  Details to follow.

Workday Recap

Perfect trail work weather today. We had 18 people show up and bust out some choice bench cut and corridor work. Travis, Sam, and I rode the benchcut afterwards...we will need to do very little work to finish the line..we nailed it and it has beautiful flow. Good Job, everyone! The corridor for the whole Homestead area is nearly done as well. It's going to be a hard but fun area.
